The costly mistakes we prevent

Most CT penalties are avoidable.

  • Late registration — AED 10,000 penalty risk. We track your position and get registration done early.
  • Wrong first tax period — misaligned periods create filing gaps. We set it correctly from the start.
  • Assuming 0% applies — free-zone and Small Business Relief have strict conditions. We check eligibility before you rely on it.
  • Year-end scramble — workings built from monthly reconciled books mean the return is a schedule, not a reconstruction.

Questions about corporate tax in the UAE

What is the UAE corporate tax filing deadline?

For a financial year ending 31 December 2025, the corporate-tax return is due by 30 September 2026. Returns are due within 9 months of the end of the relevant financial year.

What is the penalty for late corporate tax registration?

Late corporate-tax registration can attract an AED 10,000 FTA penalty, and late payment carries a 14% penalty. Registration should be completed well before the filing deadline — we can check your position free.

What is Small Business Relief under UAE corporate tax?

Eligible resident businesses with revenue of AED 3 million or below can elect Small Business Relief and pay 0% corporate tax through 2026. You still need to register and file — relief is claimed on the return, not automatic.

Do free zone companies need to file corporate tax?

Yes. Free zone companies must register for corporate tax and file a return every year. Qualifying Free Zone Persons can benefit from 0% tax on qualifying income, but only if all conditions are met and the filing is done correctly.

What records do I need for corporate tax?

Financial statements, ledgers, invoices, contracts and supporting schedules — kept for 7 years. We maintain these as part of your monthly books so the return is a schedule, not a scramble.
